Consolidated Profit and Loss Report

Return to Financial Consolidation Model Overview.

The Consolidated Profit and Loss report shows the Profit and Loss statement of one scope after the consolidation.

Report Heading

The report heading updates dynamically as various reporting options are selected. Below it shows the Version, Month_YTD, Scope, and Currency dimensions for the Profit and Loss report (Actual 2018_12, EU (Subgroup European Union) and In Euro, respectively):

The logo can be changed in Administration; see Configuring Design Elements for more on report design.

The Consolidated Profit and Loss report displays different aspects of the base elements you select in several tables. Each table shows the profit and loss accounts in rows and the time dimensions in columns (specifically the Month_YTD dimension and its prior period, e.g. 2018-12_YTD and 2017-12_YTD, see screenshots below). The columns displayed in the report depend on the the selection made in the PoV area:

The table breaks down into five parts. Above we see the Profit (Loss) section, which shows the profit and loss accounts. There are also sections for Profit (loss) attributable to, Total income, and Total income attributable to, all of which show their own account, i.e the base elements of which they are a parent element, see the PnL Account dimension article for more information. Finally, the KPIs section shows different types of calculated statistical indicators.
