The Posting Journal Configuration dimension defines the ledgers of the Posting Journal. When a journal entry of a ledger is posted, the generic fields of the posting journal are mapped to the specific dimension layout and elements of the cube to which the totalized amounts are posted.

The posting journal is organized in ledgers where each journal entry belongs to one of the ledgers. Each ledger consists of one or more slices (which is a data area within a cube). Some definitions apply to the ledger level while others apply to the slice level.

Elements in this dimension are made up of the following levels:

Ledger Definition

The Posting Journal Configuration elements on the Ledger level can be configured through the following attributes:

Must be Ledger on this level. (string)

Single Cube Entry DefaultValue

Valid values are 1 or 0. When the value is set to 1 all journal entry lines refer to one single cube which is stored in the header field Cube. When the value is set to 0 jounal entry lines may refer to different cubes which are stored in the line field Cube (Entry Line). (string)

Single Legal Entity DefaultValue

Valid values are 1 or 0. When the value is set to 1 all journal entry lines fere to one single legal entity which is stored in the header field Legal Entity. When the value is set to 0 journal entry lines may refer to different legal entities which are stored in the line field Legal Entity (Entry Line). (string)

Cube

Name of the cube in which all amounts of any slice are posted to. Only valid if all slices of this ledger refer to the same cube. (string)

Cube

Name of the cube in which all amounts of this slice are posted to. (string)

Drill Through

Valid values are 1 or 0. When the value is set to 1 drill-through records are created when posting journal entries to the cube. (numeric)

Version

Name of the dimension to which the journal entry field Version will be mapped to. Must be a dimension of Cube. (string)

Month

Name of the dimension to which the journal entry field Month will be mapped to. Must be a dimension of Cube. (string)

Legal Entity

Name of the dimension to which the journal entry field Legal Entity will be mapped to. Must be a dimension of Cube. (string)

Partner

Name of the dimension to which the journal entry field Partner will be mapped to. Can be empty if this field is not used in the slice or a dimension of Cube. (string)

Account

Name of the dimension to which the journal entry field Account will be mapped to. Must be a dimension of Cube. (string)

Dimension (1-15)

Name of the dimension to which the journal entry header fields Dimension 1 - Dimension 5 and journal entry line fields Dimension 6 - Dimension 15 will be mapped to. Can be empty if this field is not used in the slice or a dimension of Cube. (string)
Fix Column (1-5) Name of a dimension which does not appear in the journal entry but which is one fixed element in the slice. Can be empty if this column is not used in the slice or a dimension of Cube. (string)
Fix Value (1-5) Fixed element of the corresponding Fix Column 1 - Fix Column 10 dimension. Must be set when the column is used. Should be empty if the column is not used. (string)

Note that this Dimension is not configurable.
