Connecting to an SFTP Location

The file-based connections CSV, JSON, QVX, TDE, XML and Directory offer SFTP as a location.

File name The URL of a .csv, .xlsx, .json, .qvx, .tde or .xml file or a directory in an SFTP location.
Method This location type supports two types of authentication, both of which require a fingerprint:
  • Usename + Password
  • Private key (Password and Public Key are optional). If a private key file also contains the public key, the "public key" field should be left blank (.ie., only the private key file needs to be uploaded once under the "private key" field in this case.)

When the server hostname is entered without a fingerprint, you can click "Test" and be presented with a dialog box allowing you to see the fingerprint provided by the server, and accept it, if appropriate.
